Thankx to Cindy, owner (and friend) of Studio Picture Framing for trusting a visually impaired woman with power tools!
Thankx for trusting me with power tools and giving me some work while I shift my career from visual artist to writer and speaker. I build shadow and cradle boxes for frame shop clients. Come to find out, this blind chick can build a pretty good box! I sure am grateful for the income as I take this next important step forward in my life.
If you need framing in the Winter Park, FL area and want the plus of working with someone with an artist’s eye…Call Cindy at Studio Picture Framing! (407) 599-3726

Love twitter! (If you are not signed up for it click HERE.)
On twitter, I asked a general question:
“What are your fav. “must read” blogs? (and why) I’m looking to add a few more to read now that @paisano has helped me get set up with a reader!”
WELL… I got a bunch of replies.
Cooler still, the suggestions are really good. I was turned on to blogs I would not have likely found on my own.
So thankx to to those on twitter who answered my question. Below are the people and the blogs they have suggested. Check them out (the blogs and/or the cool people who brought the blogs to my attention).
Here’s a nice place and time to thank a few bloggers who have either had me as a guest blogger or featured my words on their blogs. I, of course, HIGHLY recommend you check out what these men are saying.

I have made 3 commitments to myself recently. They are simply:
1) Take my own unique path in life.
2) Pause once or twice daily to be aware and appreciative of the many hands that support, teach, love and help me on my adventure.
3) Freely express my appreciation.
Thankx to:
Friend Beth for calling with a Karen update.
<—-That’s Beth
Our friend Karen is busy learning to walk again after her most recent stroke. She REALLY wants to see Tina Turner in concert on the 24th and is working really, really hard to be well enough to be able to somehow go. Can I hear a “GO KAREN”!?!
Thanks Beth, it was good to hear your voice and to learn our bud is working hard and making progress in rehab.

Thanks to:
1) Twitter connection
@dobesv from
Vancouver, BC, Canada for attempting to answer my WordPress question today! Thanks so much.
He says he’s a “Software Engineer and Aspiring Buddha.” I know I can’t understand what he’s talking about on his blog…http://www.dobesland.com
2) Also thank you to twitter pal @steveofmaine
From Steve’s bio: “Blind from birth, I work as an Assistive Technology Instructor/consultant and host wkly assistive tech show.”
And I’ll add, smart assistive tech geek…. http://www.atmaine.com

So this whole ”start a new blog” so I can have two post-and-comment pages is ALL Steve’s idea!
Thanks (I think) Steve of Maine.
3) Mind-mapping? Thanks for that good idea Susan of “Resilience At Work” fame! It didn’t help me write my new blog post but it did help stimulate some new ideas.

Feel free to express your Thankx here too.
